It's now the start of another new dance season in Helsinki! Below a summary of classes and regular parties you'll find in Helsinki this spring.

Dates are subject to change and more classes & parties will be added during the season - always check with the respective organisers for their latest schedule.

Zouk classes: learn and master!

Teachers: Freddy Marinho and Andressa Castelhano
Dance school: Rio Zouk Style

Location: Etnofitness
What: Rio zouk style (= a style of Brazilian zouk style originating from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).*

When: 4 Feb - 22 May:
Tue and Thu 19:30-20:30 progressive course / Team A (beginners)
Tue and Thu 20:30-21:30 progressive course / Team B (improvers)

What: Zouk-lambada (= a style of Brazilian zouk originating from Porto Seguro, Brazil).*

When: 8 Feb, 8 Mar, 22 Mar, 5 Apr:

Sat 12:30-15:30 introduction to zouk (beginners)
Sat 15:30-17:00 improvers/intermediate

Location: TapahtumaSali

What: Mzouk (= a style of Brazilian zouk originating from Mallorca, Spain).*

When: 10 Feb - 20 Apr:

Mon 17:30-19:00 beginners
Sun: 16:00-17:30 improvers

*) There are a few different 'styles' of Brazilian zouk - pick your favourite or learn all of them! But worry not: dancers of any zouk style can dance with people from all styles of zouk, no matter where or from whom they have learned.

Parties: practice & socialize!

On every other Tuesday (currently on even weeks), 21:00-01:00

Kizomba & zouk party at restaurant Havanna.

On Sundays, 18:00-20:00
Zouk social at Etnofitness, organised by Rio Zouk Style.

Occasionally on weekends:
Kizomba & zouk & semba parties, organised by EscandinaviaEventos Ghettozouk.

Occasionally on weekends:
Zouk parties at Salsa Latina.
